Thanks to Christina, Ethan and Joe for keeping Carson and Zack company while we all ran the race! Congrats to Christina's mom Sandra for running her first 5k too, way to go Meemaw!!!!
This was a great race! In addition to many of my mommy friends running with me, it was also Wes and Julie's very first 5K!!!!! Yippee! A family that exercises together gets healthy together. Go NC Carrolls!
More pictures to come! Zack had so much fun decorating eggs this year! He REALLY got into it....insert got REALLY messy and multicolored!
Carson and Zack got a big huge birthday present from their Mom and Dad and Gramme and Papa! We had to build a retaining wall and level out the side yard to accommodate the giant climbing structure but it was so worth all the effort. Zack has officially named it the "Slide House"! It is so fun to have a playground in our back yard, and to have a nice level place for the boys to play. Thanks also goes to Cece and Great Papa for the fabulous sand and water table. The boys absolutely LOVE it and it is a great addition to our "Park"!
We had the pleasure of joining John and Laura for a weekend get away to Asheville. The house they rented was absolutely gorgeous. It offered lots of fun for the whole family, ponds, rocks to throw in the ponds, horses, chickens that produced fresh eggs for breakfast, hot tub, many fireplaces, a pool table, air hockey and the list goes on and on! We were only there for two nights but we left feeling refreshed and so fortunate that we had some quality time with Uncle John and Aunt Laura! We also got a chance to heck out the Western NC Nature Center.
John and Laura, thanks for the great weekend!
