Good night!
The day has been long and productive. Jenn and I now have a child and we are a family of three. Zack is a total Carroll, eating anything that is put in front of his little lips. At just over 9 hours old, Zack has managed to be yanked out of the womb, meet three of his grandparents, eat a few times, sleep for hours, get a bath and fill a couple of diapers. I know I am going to jinx myself, but during all of that he has cried for a total of 60 seconds, and most of that was in the OR. He is now well fed and about to be taken away for the night until he wants to eat again so that Jenn and I can recover a few hours of sleep that we have lost over the past two days. I know this is a drop in the bucket of the amount of sleep that we are going to lose over the coming months, but might as well use the services that we are paying for while we can. I know that you all are now only visiting so that you can see the pictures as most of the drama is over so here you go to get your fill until tomorrow.
I apologize that there are no pictures of Pam and Bill holding their grandson, but I was only left with my mothers camera. I will get a hold of Pam's camera tomorrow and post some pictures of them with our little bundle of joy. Also I understand that there are very limited pictures of Jenn. We will get some more, but you all understand that today was a very long and stressful day for her. We will get some pictures of her tomorrow that she will be happy and proud to share with you all.
And for those of you who have been asking to see what I got to sleep in last night and what I will be sleeping in over the weekend, here ya go:
I have also had a special request to post a picture of me in the bed. I will see if I can knock that out tomorrow.
Until then, thank you all for your wonderful support and staying with us through out this whole experience. All of your comments have brought smiles to our faces while we started this journey into parenthood. Also know that this is not the end of the blog. You are all welcome to come back any time as Jenn and I hope to keep this updated regularly so that all of our friends and family can watch our little Zack grow no matter where in the world you happen to be.

What a beautiful baby!!! I am so happy for the two of you! Wesley, I can't believe you are a dad now! Thanks for posting the pics...its fun to see you two with your new baby boy. Tell Zack that I say hello and that I will come visit him soon. Take care buddy.

It's been a long day for everyone, especially for all of you. I just wanted one more peek at the blog. Oh! Was I rewarded with all of those marvelous pictures. I just loved them! Checked the blog first thing this morning and was rewarded with all these wonderful pictures!!! He is just a beautiful baby baby!! Hope you both had a good night's sleep -after the last couple of days, you so deserve a restful night. Thank you Wes for making all of us feel that we were right there with both of you during the whole delivery process - - up close and personal!! Very special . . . .
He is just perfect! His little face, his tiny footprints; it all brings back wonderful memories of when my 4 kiddos were born. Enjoy every second you have with that new wee one; they grow SO fast!
I'm so excited for you two. Katie and I were talking about how adorable little Zack is last night. Even though we are so far away we could still be an important part of your day. I spread the news are the PLD and gave them your blog address so that everyone out here could here the good news as well. Love to you both!
