Wow.
It is just starting to sink in. I am a father. Dad. I am responsible for a life. Oh man, does life change in the blink of an eye.
The grandparents are enjoying some quality with Zack while he sleeps. They are all smitten with him and think that he is the perfect baby (I can't really disagree). The APGAR rating was a 9/10, but I thought it should have been a 10 (even though I have no idea what it stands for or what it really means, but I do know that higher is better). They did say that it is extremely rare that any baby get a 10/10.
It looks like we are going to be here until Sunday getting a lot of quality time with Zack and while Jenn gets to recover and be waited upon hand and foot. She has a lot less wires hooked up to her and is doing really well. They are still giving her plenty of pain managment meds. I promise to post some pictures when the grandparents leave for the night. Right now I am posting on my mothers Mac and it is driving me crazy. The Safari version of this site does not agree with my geeky ways, but I will say that loading pictures to the hard drive with a Mac is easier than falling down, but where does my mother keep all of her photos? That is correct, on her PC desktop. I don't get it either.

Well he's a cute little bugger ;). I just can't wait to see more pics. I keep staring at the same ones over and over again because I just can't get enough :). It's a bit surreal for me to think about you being a dad also...but I know you'll be a great one. I think I'm going to have to come out to visit sooner than later! Well, I'll be waiting for the next post!
Ap·gar score (ăp'gär)
n.
A system of assessing the general physical condition of a newborn infant based on a rating of 0, 1, or 2 for five criteria: heart rate, respiration, muscle tone, skin color, and response to stimuli. The five scores are added together, with a perfect score being 10.
You are correct. I just haven't had huge amounts of time on my hands to lookup things that you can do for me.
Reb, Trevor and I are so excited for the arrival of your newest family member. He is perfectly adorable. Isn't it amazing when you look into their googlely eyed faces how much love you can feel? I remember the first time looking into Trevors eyes and thinking what you posted "WOW" this little person is a combination of Reb and I, the poor thing:) No really, its such an emotional feeling. Trevor feel asleep to a song we made up that went a little like this..."Trevor and Zack, running through the mud and having lots of fun" Trevor is very excited to have a buddy to wrestle with someday. I am so glad to hear he is a great eater (pretty interesting nursing for the first time, huh:) Here's to lots of hugs, kisses, snuggles, secret converstaions, silly songs, and being able to completely act like a goofy little kid again and no one will look at you funny. We love you guys and can't wait to meet Zack and smother him with love. Congrats grandparents! You must be in heaven. Love you guys.
GreatgrandpapaJC says, What an absolutely great name!
GreatgrandpapaJC says, I have to apologize. I have been saying the baby would be a boy named Jack! Well, I was wrong. It was a boy named Zack. We traded a J for a Z! I hate to be wrong all the time.
