Relativity
Time is an intresting thing. You wait and wait and wait for a single day to arrive and it seems like it will never get here. Then BAM it is here and flying by so fast that it is hard to step back and really understand what is happening. I know we have all had many days like that in our lives and the two that stick out in my mind are my wedding day and today.
Our engagement was relativly short and all of a sudden our big day was there. The actual wedding started at about three o'clock and Jenn and I didn't leave until about 10 that evening. Seven hours of our life that went by in the blink of an eye. During that time, I didn't think that time could move any faster. I was wrong.
We arrived at the hospital thinking that time was going to drag along as I watched my poor wife go through labor. There has been no dragging about the time that we have spent here. I don't know how time will act when Jenn opens up and the kid really starts to vacate the womb for bigger digs. Only time will really tell.
"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity." - Women

WOW! Thats deep!
Wes I didn't know you had such writing skills.
Random Question: Wes did you also pack yourself a hospital bag, or just Jenn? I want to make sure you are changing your clothes daily so when the kid does come, that their first impression is one of a smelly father. You might have answered this in one of your previous posts but i was to lazy to go back and check. If you can let me know i would appreciate it. thanks
For you Blake, I give this question a shot. Yes, I packed a bag for myself that does include a new shirt. I have also brought a tooth bruch and deordent. I shouldn't smell too bad when this kid arrives.
I think that the lack of sleep is starting to affect your typing fingers. So true, though. Hold it together man! I expect some more thoughtful insights as the nights goes on.
Wes...
Are they giving you drugs?

Well it looks like you will have a stubborn child. It is content with it's situation. I thought by now when I checked the update I would have baby news. You guys hang in there, the wait is worth it! Best wishes.
Thank goodness for this blog! I'm waiting on pins and needles as is for each post! I can't imagine how I would be if this blog didn't exist and I had to wait for a single phone call. The suspense would kill me! Nice deep thoughts Wes. I think you might need a cat nap ;). Keep updating, I love the distraction...and I'm kind of addicted to reading the blog :).
When you are in the moments of labor time does seem to be relative. I remember looking at the clock to see what time Trevor was born and realizing that I had been in labor for 4 hours. It was like an out of body experience and the time flew by without me knowing. You are so "in the moment" Jenn you working through the pain and Wes just trying to be as supportive as possible. We're thinking of you...love you guys.
Aunt Chris: Nope, no drugs for me enevthough I begged for them. I guess I will just stick to caffiene and hard candy.
Sleep deprived Comments: Yep, the lack of sleep is starting to take its toll. We will see how much longer I last without passing out.
Everybody: Thanks for the warm thoughts and comments. I really think that this whole thing is not only good for updating you all, but for supporting us.
